The Isle of Wight Community Food pantry received a gracious donation from Amy Havens Hurst and her Pet Therapy bird, BOO!
Her donation enables us to distribute nourishing eggs to our neighbors through our monthly free food program which exemplifies the kindness to our community that strives to make a meaningful difference. They also wish to acknowledge their support pet therapy program has received from Isle of Wight County particularly for their therapy bird"!
Their Prism Birds Program, matching young birds with special needs families, is a pioneering initiative nationwide as a certified Animal-assisted Intervention Specialist and Animal-Assisted Therapist.
